"Origin has now asked Giovenco Industries to assist with the bullet inspection programme throughout Queensland"

  • Giovenco Industries was contracted to undertake detailed inspection and remedial works to LNG pressure vessels for Origin Energy.
  •  Origin Energy Pinkenba terminal Storage Facility is the biggest Storage Terminal in Queensland and has 6, (250 tonne) pressure vessels catering to “Brisbane” and “The Darling Downs”.
  • This Project involved the Internal and External 10 year Inspection of a 250 tonne LPG storage Vessel. The vessels are typically in excess of 4m diameter and 39m long. Scaffolding was required to the Man- ways, and all Pressure release Valves.
  • The operating environment required specialised Giovenco employees to use “Operate Breathing Apparatus Equipment” and “Confined Space Entry” at a “Nationally Accredited level”.
  • Prior to entry, the vessel was depressurised and purged with Nitrogen so that the LEL’s were at the required standards and “Safe for Entry”.
  • An Internal Mobile Scaffold was also erected for Access to all welds in order for Inspectins to carry out their Testing’s and Quality assurance documentation DATA reports
