Insulation,

Laing O'Rourke

Chinchilla, QLD

"The client happy with the quality of our work and the cooperation they received."

  • Associated with the coal seam gas (CSG) recovery process is the extraction of CSG associated water. Significant water infrastructure is required to process this associated water to ensure it is clean for re-use. While QGC mining entitlement cover other vast regions of the Surat basin, the scope of this project is focused on the delivery of a Central Water treatment Plant (CWTP) and Re-Locatable Water Treatment Plant (RWTP) on QGC’s Kenya property near Chinchilla in Queensland
  • Giovenco Industries have been engaged by Laing O’Rourke Australia to supply labour, material and Equipment for the Insulation and the Cladding of the Air Blower and the Brine Concentrator Steam pipes.
  • The scope involved the application of Rockwool Blanket and Sectional Pipe Insulation jacketed with Aluminium Stucco.
  • Due to remoteness of the project, Giovenco Industries elected to set up workshop on site for fabrication of the cladding
  • Prior to commencement of the project we were successful in changing the fittings and the application of the material which reduced the cost of the project.
  • The client was happy with the quality of our work and the cooperation they received.
  • The project was incident free
