Construction and ongoing corrosion protection of oil feed pipelines and installation of load out arms for full loading from bulk carriers
Feeder pipe lines are maintained (patch welded and painted) off barges and purpose built platforms mounted on wharf structural supports. The area is subject to heavy seas and tide fluctuations. The environment is highly corrosive.
Site management and works programming is critical to ensure ongoing operation of wharf and adherence to ship unloading schedules. The site is a high compliance environment due to the nature of the fuel transport and storage systems. The wharf work has been undertaken with no recordable incidents
Employed approximately 20 painters and 12 welders plus site based project management as head contractor to Caltex.
